On June 3rd 2012 the idea of www.AcademicInsight.it was born. At first it was an extremely simple blog where Gherardo could tell his experiences and interview a few professionals. During the following months students started getting interested in his project and some of them chose to help him find new articles. The Team started to grow.

2

On December 31st 2012 Academic Insight gave out its first scholarship, worth 250 Euros, to Vincenzo Antonio Speciale so that he could attend RomeMUN, the biggest Model United Nations event in Italy, for free. Here you can find an album with all our scholarship winners.

3

On June 3rd 2013 the website becomes bilingual under the new domain of www.YourAcademicInsight.com. Our new aim was to reach students from all over the world.

4

On March 7th 2014 an all-new website was launched. YAI never stops moving forward!

“Academic Insight allowed me to get in touch with and be inspired by other amazing people. This website can be your starting point to change how you see the world, to challenge you and start trusting yourself”.

“Being a student, I think Academic Insight is an extremely useful resource for those who think that classes aren’t enough. The many and varied experiences you can find in the website are a strong push towards new and unexplored opportunities. Moreover, I really appreciate the down-to-earth vibe, everything being told by students like me: for us it’s easier to sympathize and find ourselves in those places and situations.

Francesco Moro, Economics student

“Academic Insight gives you a chance to grow individually and expand your network, reading real pros and cons about any experience (not as told by a guidebook!).

Domitilla Di Marco, HR Manager

“Not only Academic Insight is useful, it’s also inspirational, since it shows you so many different experiences and opportunities in this particular period of global crisis. It is also encouraging to read about active and forward-looking students, ready to share their lives with the Internet.

Ina Macina, PhD Candidate

“Academic Insight is definitely a very important occasion for college students: they can get in touch with many associations, organizations, activities and competitions they might never have heard of. Moreover this website has been useful to promote JEME Bocconi, my association.
